PERFECT WEAKNESS

By: Pastor Bobbi Morgan

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12: 9a NIV

I can’t count how many times I have quoted this scripture while driving to church or any other occasion the Lord has given me the opportunity to minister His gospel. Paul goes on to say, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

It is often in our weakness that we see God show up in a mighty way. Maybe because we aren’t so puffed up in our pride. If you have fallen, failed, or just feel weak in spirit, we must never limit God. The Holy Spirit does the work. We are just the vessels He uses. What better way for God to get the glory than when the mission seems impossible in the eyes of men? No matter how we may feel we can still bring hope to those around us when God’s grace shines through our lives.

Lord, I pray that your grace shines through us today!
