For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11 KJV)
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 KJV)
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. (Matthew 22:32 KJV)

The blood is that which gives our flesh life. For this reason, it was the sacrifice necessary for atonement for our souls. Death of the flesh, for life of the soul. Yet Christ! Jesus presented Himself the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. He shed His blood on the cross, the final sacrifice for our souls. Through His sacrifice Christ now lives in us. Hallelujah! God is not the God of the dead, but the living! We serve a living God, and through Him we are alive. Share life with someone today!
