HOLY GRAIL!!!

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
John 17:3 NIV
Mankind is fascinated with the idea of eternal life. It seems that we would go to any lengths and try anything just to obtain it. Just look what Indiana Jones had to do just to find the Holy Grail!
In John 17:3 Jesus is praying and He gives us the key to eternal life... and it’s not what you would expect. The key to eternal life is KNOWING THE ONLY TRUE GOD AND JESUS CHRIST! The word “know” in this scripture doesn’t mean just to know of God intellectually. It actually means to know Him in an intimate, one on one level, by experience. It means that you have a history of experiences together to the point where you know each other very closely. You know each other’s likes and dislikes, what the other is thinking, how they would feel about certain things, and what they would do in different scenarios. It’s knowing God as well as your best friend or your spouse. Eternal life is getting to experience the only true God and Jesus Christ as much as you want!
When is the last time you have gone past intellectually thinking about God to experiencing Him on a deeper level? The key to eternal life isn’t finding the Holy Grail. The key is finding God and getting to knowing Him more deeply.
