(I hope you enjoy this devotion written by my daughter, Faith. I also hope you take a moment today to say a prayer for all our kids and lift them up to our Father. -Pastor Brian)

When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden fear Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; For the LORD will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught.
Proverbs 3:24-26 NASB

These scriptures tell us that our sleep will be sweet and that we should not be afraid. God will be with us, and that means we are safe no matter what. At night when I sometimes feel scared, I always read these verses and it helps me fall asleep. Another thing that helps me is to worship God while I am lying in bed. One of my favorite people in the Bible is David because he worshipped God with his harp. Next time you’re scared you can read these scriptures, worship, and say this prayer:
Dear Lord, I know You are always with me, and I do not have to be afraid. Please give me good dreams and help me overcome my fears. Help me have a sweet sleep. I love You. Amen.
