A man's heart plans his way, but Jehovah directs his steps.

Proverbs 16:9 MKJV

I will be very honest here: Planning is not my strongest attribute. I’m more of an “off the cuff, roll with the punches” kind of guy. I will admit that the older I get, the more I realize that planning ahead lowers my blood pressure. I truly believe it is God’s design for us to be able to plan ahead. With that said, God also has a way of adjusting our plans. Most of the time, these adjustments make us frustrated and confused. The best thing to do is let go of our plans and realign ourselves with His plan. That’s easier said than done, but His plan is perfect. His plan sees all factors and outcomes, but our plan is limited to our human perspective. When God changes our plan, we must learn to embrace the truth that He knows better than we do.

May God direct your plans. I pray He leads you in every area of your life. I also pray that when His plan and your plans are different, you (and I) learn to let go and follow Him.
