MY LIFE MATTERS

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Luke 12:6-7 ESV
I do not take for granted that I was raised in a Godly home with parents who loved God. As far back as I can remember, God has been a part of my life. Even though this is true and I know God is for me and loves me, as a little girl I often felt overwhelmed by this world. Fear would creep in and I would begin to question my existence and feel very small and insignificant. You know the familiar questions of insecurity: Who am I? Why am I here?
I came across the above scripture and it became my go-to every time I began feeling that way. Somehow, knowing that God knows how many hairs are on my head at any given time would bring me such peace. Silly, I know! But think about it: hairs fall out continually! God not only has the hairs on your head numbered, but on every head of every person in every nation who has ever lived or is living on this earth. He has them all numbered. He sees you and He knows you. YOU matter! Lord, thank You for reminding me today how BIG You are and how MUCH You love me.
