ELECTION DAY
By: Pastor Matt Morgan
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!
Psalms 33:12 ESV
Our nation needs the Lord now more than ever. For someone to win, someone must lose. Please pray for our country on this pivotal Election Day. With the same letters you can write the word “unite” or “untie”.
So, what will it be? I am determined to unite! Crisis is the natural result of change. Our friend, Bishop Enoch, often says, “See Christ, not the crisis!” Our world is in a constant state of flux. In times of uncertainty, we must keep our eyes on the Lord.
In 2 Chronicles 20:12, King Hezekiah was surrounded by an innumerable host. He was out manned, out resourced, and facing absolute ruin. He cried out to the Lord, “We have no power against them! We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
Maybe you’re experiencing a career change, family conflict or social pressure. Whether you are facing a pandemic or paranoia, God is still faithful. Change and crisis are a normal part of life. We are not in trouble, we are in transition! For now, we seek to transform the world, but eventually we will overcome the world. Stay positive and stay productive and may God’s favor be upon you today!
