PRAISE IS A WEAPON
By: Chandler Demler
Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.
2 Chronicles 20:22 NKJV
When Jehosaphat king of Judah found out the people of Moab and Ammon had come together to fight against Judah, he had a decision to make. Verse 3 tells us Jehosaphat “feared” but he didn’t stop at that fear. It goes on to say that he set himself to "seek the Lord and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah”.
Fear is a natural emotion that we often may experience, but we are not called to live in submission with that fear! There are personal battles in our lives that we face where we are unsure of what the outcome will be. When we realize that the battle is not ours but the Lord’s, we can begin to live outside of that fear.
Verse 22 says “Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.”
When we begin to worship the Lord, things truly happen in the supernatural that we may not even see. Our praise is a weapon! Challenge yourself to let praise be your first response to your situation and see what the Lord can do!
