Losing a Business to COVID

Mar 24, 2021    Rhonda Grote

The COVID-19 pandemic hit everyone hard, but small business owners were experiencing a different kind of crisis. With state-wide shutdowns, business capacity restrictions, mask requirements and additional safety regulations in place, many small businesses couldn't manage without their steady income. We saw some of our most beloved hometown businesses shutting their doors or dramatically reducing staff and operating hours. We spoke with Rhonda Grote, the owner of Lebanon's well-known Royce Cafe that shut down as a result of the pandemic, and she shared some of her experience as a business owner facing this difficult time. Don't forget to SHOP LOCAL and keep all our business owners in your prayers as they are still trying to recuperate from 2020.
