TO-DO LIST
By: Pastor Bobbi Morgan
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
Matt and I were driving down the road the other day when Matt whipped into a parking lot. I began to protest, “Honey I need to hurry home, I have so much to do.” We proceeded to get out of the truck when I noticed a woman who had just recently lost her mother. Her face said it all as we moved towards her. Now I understood the urgency of the quick turn. What a privilege and honor it was to have the opportunity to talk and pray with this lady.
I know it is easy to feel overwhelmed about deadlines and schedules. Many times my family has seen me stress over not getting everything done that I felt I needed to accomplish in a day. Notice the word “I” in that last sentence. Take it easy on yourself today. God has a plan and you may not get all the things on YOUR to-do-list accomplished but that will be ok. I promise! You may have to veer from YOUR plan, and it may even seem inconvenient in the moment, but push through. I have found that HIS plans are always higher, and HIS rewards are eternal for you and for those whom you have the privilege to serve.
