DOUBLE IMPUTATION

By: Pastor Matt Morgan

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21 NASB

Sin was imputed to Jesus while righteousness was imputed to me! This is referred to as double imputation. Martin Luther called this “The Great Exchange.” God took our worst in exchange for His best.

We did not earn it or deserve it. God's grace was a gift to us. Righteousness is not based on you; it’s placed on you! Thank God for this gift! Thank God for His love!

We have nothing to do with God loving us. He loves us whether we want Him to or not. Through God’s amazing grace, we are delivered from our failures, not defined by them. Spend time today thanking God for double imputation.
