SCAR TISSUE

By: Pastor Matt Morgan

He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.

Psalm 147:3 NIV

When normal tissue is destroyed by disease, injury, or surgery, fibrous tissue may develop. Even though a wound is healed, the end result may be scar tissue.

Scar tissue pain may be immediate or may occur later. Scars carry the visible memory of a painful event. But scar damage can be internal as well as external. In other words, we cannot possibly know what someone else is going through. Only God can heal the broken heart.

“We cannot embrace God’s forgiveness if we are so busy clinging to past wounds and nursing old grudges.” (T.D. Jakes)

O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me. (Psalm30:2 NASB)

When God is invited into our pain, healing begins. Ask him today to touch the seen and unseen areas of your life. God is faithful to hear and answer!
