JOY
By: Pam Gray
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. (Isaiah 12: 2-3 KJV)
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalms 16:11 KJV)
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Romans 14:17 KJV)
Throughout the Bible we are reminded of the joy we have in serving God. Joy when we turn our lives over to him and accept his salvation plan; joy in following the path he has for our lives and joy in knowing the Holy Spirit is here to comfort and lead us: to give us boldness. James says to count all things as joy, even our trials and temptations (James 1:2). Paul reminds us to do all things without murmuring… ye shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:14-15). Joy is a fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22). Choose to walk in joy!
