HOW TO LOVE
By: Pastor Matt Morgan
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV
Falling in love requires a pulse; staying in love requires a plan. Plan to love deeply. Love is reciprocal; you have it when you get it. Love is a verb and a noun. It is more than a status; it is an action. Love requires giving not taking, and valuing others above one's self.
One way to show love is to express interest in their interests. It might be something you would never do on your own, but to do it with them makes all the difference in the world. When love is perfected, fear is evicted. When we love, we model God’s example.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)
