WHO TOLD YOU

By: Dina Boitnott

The Lord God called to the man and said to him, "Where are you?" He said, "I heard your voice in the garden and was afraid because I was naked, so I hid myself." And he said "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree which I commanded you not to eat?"

Genesis 3:9-11 MEV

Sin will cause us to distance ourselves from God. Doing what we know displeases Him is hard on our spirits and will make us feel guilty, but with repentance there is always forgiveness. God desires us to repent, come to Him, and receive forgiveness. The enemy wants you condemned, ashamed, and in bondage.

One way he uses to keep you away from God is by lying to you about you are. God is saying, “You are my child, you are forgiven, you are cleansed. Who told you that you were worthless? Who told you that you would never be good enough? Who told you that you don't measure up?”

Who told you? Who are you listening to? You are who God says you are.
