SET YOURSELF

By: Pastor Matt Morgan

He [Jehoshaphat] said: “O LORD God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?

2 Chronicles 20:6 NKJV

Jehoshaphat asks God three questions: Are you not? Did you not? Will you not? Concluding that
You are, You did, and You will! Jehoshaphat announces a nationwide fast with the awareness that his people need a move of God. He set himself to seek the Lord. He prays privately and then he prays publicly.

Something happens when we set ourselves to go after God. Our mind is decluttered. We begin to remember what God did, what He is doing, and by faith believe what He will do. Our reference to God’s faithfulness assures is that He remains the same. Don’t allow the complexities of today interfere with the consistency of God’s tomorrow!

The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV)
