VALUE INCREASE

By: Moriah Logsdon

Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.

Isaiah 46:9 NLT

When the value of your house increases, you are much quicker to think about selling your house so you can buy something greater! Isn’t it so great that our value doesn’t decrease with God? It doesn’t decrease with our age or amount of damage we’ve had.

God isn’t selling us and making a greater model—He is a God who renovates. Most renovations start with knocking walls down or demolition. After all, who doesn’t want the open space concept? God doesn’t want you to change and become something different. He wants you with the quirks that He has instilled in you; He wants to renovate the inside of you. Let Him break your walls down. Let Him rip apart the appliances and decor that we thought we needed in our lives. Let Him tear down the stuff we did on our own. Let Him take the junk we thought we needed.

It will look messy at first. Tearing down the old isn’t going to make your renovation look any better. Once all the old is taken away and thrown out, there is room for the NEW DELIVERY! The new cabinets, new appliances, and new floors can begin to be installed. Only the contractor with the master plan can see a potential for that old build! Let God be your contractor! Let him kick down the walls you’ve put up, take the old, and get you ready for the NEW DELIVERY!

Prayer for the day: “Lord, please take away the old! Let me make room for your master plan. Take away my blueprint. I’m ready for your great renovation!”
