DEADLINES, TOUGH TIMES, LONG LINES

By: Pastor Matt Morgan

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Proverbs 16:3 NIV

Life is stressful! Especially during this strange time of a global pandemic, life can be extra stressful. Pressure at work, chaos at home, and a mountain of bills. Were we meant to live like this? What can you do to mitigate stress? Of course, we begin with prayer. If you need to, write it down as a petition to God (this is biblical). Begin with something.

The same principal applies to debt. Attack one bill at a time. Gradually you will climb out of that hole.

Try to simplify your life. Don’t volunteer for more until you can complete what’s already on your schedule. Read your Bible, change your diet, and work out. Believe it or not, this will change your perspective on life immediately.

Have fun. Don’t spend money. Go to a park. Walk through your neighborhood. Smile at others and watch them smile back. Appreciate the little things in life.

Do more for God—opportunities are out there. This will recalibrate your life like nothing else.
In the King James version of the Bible, Proverbs 16:3 says that "your thoughts will be established" when you commit your work to God. As we go all out for God, He will go all out for us!
