And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.
Revelation 5:8 NIV
My daughter Madison is a sentimental hoarder. If it has any meaning, she will keep it. She kept one of her dog’s teeth. She keeps love notes from me that date back to her early childhood. She doesn’t care about monetary value, just memory value. I’ve always thought she is a special girl and her memorial cache is evidence. From gum wrappers to thank you notes, her feelings run deep with sentiment.
I find it so awesome and comforting, that God would keep our prayers and tears close to him. That’s where they are—at His throne in plain sight! A constant reminder of His love for us. You are not alone—you are never alone!
