MONEY MATTERS
By: Pastor Matt Morgan
Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.
Psalm 35:27 NKJV
Most financial problems are not about money, but about money management. The Apostle John wrote, "Beloved I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 2 NKJV). This verse shows that God wants us to prosper in all things, including your soul (mind, will, emotions).
Prosperity for the believer has to do with purpose. Proverbs 10:16 says, “The labor of the righteous leads to life, the wages of the wicked to sin."
When provision is in abundance, we can be generous on every occasion (2 Corinthians 9:8). I often pray, “God bless me with money or things that money can't buy.” As an addendum, I close many prayers by asking God to help me fulfill his will, and never let money be the reason I can't do it!
Today, my prayer for you is that God would richly bless you and give you the power to make wealth and wise financial decisions. If you need a good resource, check out Rabbi Daniel Lapin’s book “Thou Shall Prosper.” Most people don’t have money problems, they have management problems.
