CONDEMNATION OR CONVICTION
By: Pastor Bobbi Morgan
With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.
Roman 8:1-2 MSG
Condemnation has a way of creeping into our lives and will try to separate us from the love of God. Like most Christians, I try to live life according to God’s Word. But, like all humans, I find myself falling short and stumbling along the way. The quicker we turn to Jesus and look to him and repent, the less room there is for satan to do a work in us.
Condemnation will leave us hopeless, but conviction will lead us to repentance. Condemnation will cause us to look down, but conviction will make us look up. Don’t allow the shame of condemnation to pull you under satan’s cloud of confusion. Romans 8:38-39 also tells us that NOTHING in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Freedom in Christ is a grace that we cannot comprehend! Let Jesus blow our minds and accept His grace in our lives today.
