WHY VS WHO
By: Pastor Bobbi Morgan
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
I have talked with many people who have stumbled over the same word I have many times, asking it over and over again: why? This one word can get us stuck and bound, leaving us unable to receive our healing and move forward.
I have found that there are some things that happen to us that we will never get to know our “why”... Why did this happen to me? Why did this happen to them? Even if we get an answer, we usually have another question of “why”.
Have you ever had a child ask you a question that led to another question, that led to another question that led to another question? You get the point. In many instances in life, there are no answers we could ever get that would give us peace or make us understand. So what do we do with the “why”?
We exchange it for “Who”. When your mind is racing with doubt, fear, anger and all the other emotions attached to this word “why”, just start remembering “Who” holds your future and your life.
His name is JESUS.
He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds. (Psalm 147:3 KJV)
