LETTING GO

By: Dina Boitnott

It [Love] is not conceited [arrogant and inflated with pride]; it is not rude [unmannerly] and does not act unbecomingly. Love [God's love in us]) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful, it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

I Corinthians 13:5 AMP

We have all been hurt or offended at some time in our life. Negative feelings come, but how long we allow them to stay is up to us. Our enemy likes to replay the same hurtful record over and over in our minds, set to repeat indefinitely, keeping us in a constant state of turmoil, anger, and unrest. Paying no attention to a suffered wrong may not be easy, but with God's help you can erase that record and let go.

Decide today that you will let go of previous pains, hurts, and disappointments that have held your spirit captive. Remember, you are freeing yourself, not them.
