ANXIETY

By: Whitney Huff

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad.

Proverbs 12:25 NASB

Anxiety. I honestly can say I hate that word. In so many times in my life I have allowed anxiety to rule over me. It’s like a python that slowly squeezes the life out of you. Sometimes it can come on so strong that you can literally feel physical hurt. But a good word makes it glad, and the best word I know is His Word. So here are just a few scriptures that pulled me out of the grips of anxiety and that have healed my heart and mind:

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 NASB)

Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 NASB)

When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul. (Psalm 94:19 NASB)

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6 NASB)
