PUT IN THE WORK

In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.
Proverbs 3:6 TLB
I say this all the time to my kids: Nothing comes easy, you have to work for it, so put in the work. Reward will come after the work. When something is handed to you it doesn’t hold as much value as when you worked hard for it.
The same could be said for our spiritual lives. The Bible says that without faith your work is dead, and that it is impossible to please God without faith. It’s like digging a hole and never getting deeper than the surface. So, when we activate our faith with praise and thanksgiving, even when we don’t see it or feel it, we are putting in the work. It says, Yes, Lord, I trust you!” He is faithful!
