Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death. (Psalm 68:20 NLT)
A remnant will return, yes, the remnant of Jacob will return to the mighty God. (Isaiah 10:21 NLT)
Have you ever noticed that throughout the Bible, God is referred to by so many different names? Sovereign, Mighty, Holy… just to name a few. These are all things I’ve said aloud in prayer and worship, but what do these names truly mean?
Holy- Sacred*
Sovereign- Supreme ruler, highest, above all others*
Worthy- Deserving respect*
Mighty- Great power*
Take in the meanings of these names and then in your own words, using at least one listed above, pray with full understanding of what you are saying.
Holy God, Higher than the Highest, thank You for choosing to love me even when I didn’t choose to love You like I should. You are worthy! You are great! You are Mighty! I am blessed to serve You, Father. Amen.
